After the news of her Super Bowl performance was confirmed by the NFL on February 2, we—along with every Little Monster in the country—have been waiting with bated breath to watch national treasure Lady Gaga belt out the national anthem at this year's Super Bowl 50. True to form, Gaga did not disappoint.

Taking to the turf at the massive Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California at 6pm EST, Mother Monster was more than prepared for her big moment at the Hyundai Kickoff Show—she was reveling in it. Wearing a gorgeous and tasteful sparkling red Gucci suit, matching red glitter eye shadow, and shimmery blue nails, Gaga looked positively patriotic as she belted the anthem from center field.

Keeping her rendition classic for most of the song, the classically-trained Academy Award nominee and six-time Grammy winner showed her more theatrical side towards the end of the performance with some powerful riffs, while Academy Award-winner Marlee Matlin signed the anthem alongside Gaga's vocals.

Over the weekend, Gaga sat down for an intimate interview with Nate Burleson from the NFL, where she called the opportunity to sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the Super Bowl the "highest honor of [her] career." She also revealed during the interview that she would be keeping her rendition classic: "I have to live up to a song that stands the test of time. I think the best way to do that is kind of forget about yourself and focus on what it means."

Based on her performance this evening, it's no doubt her moment at the Super Bowl will stand the test of time as well.
