Labor Day boaters quickly pulled out their cameras when they saw a black bear on the shores of Horsetooth Reservoir over the weekend.

Bear sightings have been prevalent this year around Colorado. Just last week their was a story about a husband and wife fighting a bear in their home. Wildlife officials are warning everyone to be vigilant, and alert. They also say not to leave food in cars, and lock up trash cans.

CPW Spokesperson Jason Clay:

"It's been a busy bear season as far as activity, and we are just ramping up to the fall, when bears will be out 20 hours a day looking for food."
