Saturday, March 11th, 2017!  Get your green on, and join everyone in downtown Fort Collins for the 18th annual Sharin' O' The Green 5K!

It's one of the biggest 5Ks in the area, a Bolder Boulder qualifier, it benefits a great organization and.... it's a blast!

Sharin' O' the Green!
Partners Mentoring Youth

Dress in your favorite Irish attire--green suspenders perhaps?--gather your friends and get ready, as Townsquare Media of Northern Colorado is proud to be a sponsor of the Sharin 'O' The Green 5K to benefit Partners Mentoring Youth on Saturday, March 11! Partners Mentoring Youth is a nonprofit that creates and supports positive mentoring relationships between adult role models and local youth in Northern Colorado.

I've been in the event just a couple of times over the last few years, but I plan on being in at all that I can from here on out!  It's a ton of fun in downtown Fort Collins at Library Park. Just a lot of great folks out early on a Saturday to get their 'fit' on before heading over to the annual Lucky Joe's St. Paddy's Day Parade!

From the organizers:

The course is fast, flat, USTAF certified, a Bolder Boulder qualifying course, and chip timed. Wear your finest green to show off your Irish pride and support a great cause! After the race stay downtown and enjoy the St. Patrick's Day Parade and a beer on us from Odell Brewing Company at the beer garden in Old Town Square!

The kids will get things underway with the 'Shamrock Scurry' at 8:15 on Saturday, with the official 5K starting at 8:30.  Partners Mentoring Youth hopes to raise $10,000 with the event- so sign up!

Kids under 17 can sign up for free, and adults (21+) will get a free Odell's beer at the finish!

Remember to get your Leprechaun name! I, Warty McWhiskey, Will see you there!
