Woman Wanted For Stealing Bank Bag Full Of Money In Fort Collins

Police in Fort Collins are looking for a woman who allegedly stole a bank bag containing thousands of dollars from a Fort Collins bar.

That's according to a post on the Fort Collins Police Services Facebook page. According to the post, the theft happened in December of 2023 at a bar in Old Town Fort Collins.

Details Of The Theft

The victim dropped a bank bag containing thousands of dollars and a large cashier's check made out to him. A woman ran up and grabbed the bag before running away with it.

The investigation has identified the suspect as Isabelle Benitez [above photo]. According to the post, a warrant for Benitez has been issued for Theft, which is a Class 4 Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Financial Device, a Class 1 Misdemeanor.

Anyone with information on Benitez is being asked to call Fort Collins Police Corporal Nick Rogers at (970) 416-2944.

In the words of Special Collections Curator, Kevin Anderson, the photographs serve to document "events in our own lives, events in our own history." Others come from a collection of photographs of people who lived in Casper's Sand Bar as found in the Walter R. Jones Papers available in and through the repository. Many others came from the Casper College Western History Center and the Wyoming State Archives from a wide-variety of original sources.
