Did Colorado Inspire the 2024 Pantone Color of the Year?
Pantone unveiled its official color of 2024 as Peach Fuzz, a hue “nestled between pink and orange.”
Look at the color Pantone chose and why it did; it's as though the color company pulled it right from the Colorful Colorado landscape.
It could have even come out of Colorado’s most prominent universities. Forget green and gold or gold and black. While we do love our Colorado gold, the Peach Fuzz swatch sits right.
What is the Pantone Color of the Year for 2024?
Each year, the company that defines color mixes for industry identifies a color representing the time. And each year, the color takes off in fashion, food, consumer packaged goods, across social media, and beyond.
For 2024, Pantone chose Peach Fuzz as the color of the year.
5 Ways Pantone’s Color of the Year Comes to Life in Colorado

Need we say more? Georgia has nothing on Colorado.
Colorado Vibes With Pantone’s Color of the Year
Color is a look. But it is a feel, too. And Peach Fuzz has all the Colorado feels.
The connoisseur of color herself, Leatrice Eisman, said, “In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless.”
Pantone describes its color of the year, Peach Fuzz, in a very Colorado vibes way, saying it evokes:
- An “all-embracing spirit [that] enriches heart, mind, and body.”
- A “warm and cozy shade highlighting our desire for togetherness with others or for enjoying a moment of stillness and the feeling of sanctuary.”
- “A message of caring and sharing, community and collaboration.”
- “Peace from within, impacting our wellbeing.”
That says Colorado vistas, community, and goals to me. Through and through.
Colorado Peach Fuzz.
We’ll petition Pantone for a name edit. Color, after all, is in our name.
