Braga Fresh has issued a voluntary advisory and recall for ready-to-eat 12oz Marketside Broccoli Florets with a best-if-used date of Dec 10, 2024.

Potential Contamination in Colorado

If you shop at Walmart in Colorado, you could have some bad broccoli hiding in the freezer. Braga Fresh has issued an advisory about ready-to-eat 12oz Marketside Broccoli Florets. The broccoli may have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. This is a nasty bacterium that can make people very sick, especially kids and the elderly.

The recall involves 12oz bags of Marketside Broccoli Florets sold at Walmart. The affected bags have the UPC code 6 81131 32884 5 (on the back), a "Best if Used by" date of December 10, 2024, and Lot Code BFFG327A6 (on the front).

Walmart stores in 20 states have potentially distributed the broccoli to customers including those of us in Colorado.
