16 Colorado Hospitals Earn ‘A’ Grades for Patient Safety
The Leapfrog group has spent the last twenty years or so keeping an eye on America's hospitals, including the more than 300 here in Colorado. Their work helps Coloradans make more informed healthcare decisions, adds transparency, and can help keep costs down.
According to HospitalSafetyGrade.Org, the latest report card from Leapfrog includes grades for 44 Colorado hospitals, with 16 earning top scores.

Hospital Safety Grade is a site that allows you to look up hospital scores from around the country using data collected by Leapfrog. So many hospitals do an excellent job keeping patients safe, but some do not. According to HospitalSafetyGrade.org, nearly 250,000 people die in hospitals every year due to "preventable errors." Colorado's Safest Hospitals
It's nice to know that hospitals with the highest safety scores in Colorado are spread all over the state. Hospitals with the highest safety scores are in Denver, Grand Junction, Durango, Vail, Loveland, Louisville, and more. Keep scrolling to see all the hospitals that earned the top grade below.
Colorado Hospital With the Lowest Safety Score
Not only can we see which hospitals are the best for safety, but we can also see any that may have received lower scores. Of the 44 hospitals that received grades in Colorado, one of the lowest scores went to Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, Co. Pueblo was also home to one of the best-rated hospitals, Centura Health-St. Mary Corwin Hospital.
