Remember These? School Supplies From The ’90s We Miss In 2026

I know I say this a lot in my articles, but I'll say it till the day I die. Growing up in the nineties was the best. There was no social media or cell phones, but we did have Trapper Keepers and Lisa Frank.

Let me explain. Recently, I took my soon-to-be fourth-grader shopping for school supplies, and when some things were missing, it made me sad.

Shall we reminisce?

Trapper Keepers

I went to elementary school in Wellington and have the fondest memories. That's where I first learned about Trapper Keepers. These babies were slick back in the early '90s. If you had a Trapper Keeper, odds are you really cared about learning or getting good grades. Which is why I never had one. We were also poor.

Yes, they've brought the Trapper Keeper back for the kids of today, but it will never compare to walking into class with a fresh and new Trapper Keeper. So I've heard.

Lisa Frank Everything

Life has become so much less colorful. It's true. I hate to say it, but it's true. Lisa Frank was the best in the early nineties. With the most amazing colors and adorable animal pictures, the school day passed fast because we were all hypnotized by anything Lisa Frank.

From folders to pencil cases, I will never recover from living in the vibrant world of the '90s to the cold gray world of 2026.

I can honestly say I never learned how to cover a book with a paper bag because my family was a plastic-bag family, but I was always impressed by the kids who did.
