Did You Know? Free Safari Outside of Denver Is An Amazing Attraction
Sometimes it can be difficult to find cheap or free entertainment in Colorado. Finding affordable ways to entertain the family can be a real challenge, especially in a place like Colorado where the options are endless but can come with a hefty price tag.
We just discovered a way to entertain the entire family for free. There is a safari near Denver that you need to check out.
Free Safari Right By Denver
Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge is located just 10 miles northeast of Downtown Denver. The refuge is home to quite a diversity of animals.
Here are some of the main animals you will see at Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge:
- Prairie Dogs
- Bison
- Deer
- Coyotes
- Raptors
- Songbirds
- Waterfowl
I heard about Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge from this Instagram video.
Experiences at Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge
As we mentioned, this is a free experience. You can experience Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge in a few different ways.
There are hiking and bicycle trails. There are 20 miles of trails to walk. You can also take a tour in your vehicle. There is an 11-mile drive and the refuge offers a podcast that will guide you through everything.
It is pretty remarkable that this is a free attraction. I have been to a safari on the west coast that cost more than $150 a person. You should take advantage of this.
