We're not even halfway through 2025, and there have already been eighteen major layoffs in the state of Colorado.
A company with multiple locations in the state has announced a major closure to its facilities.

How Many Colorado Workers Have Been Laid Off in 2025?
Since the start of the year, approximately 1,865 Coloradans were laid off, according to the Department of Labor and Employment.
What Triggers a Mass Layoff Notification in Colorado?
Whenever a company lays off a hundred or more people, officials from within the group have to provide a sixty day notice to the workers as well as the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act.
Hallcon Files Closure Notice Affecting Five Colorado Cities
Officials from Hallcon in Colorado filed a WARN Report on April 25th, 2025. This report confirmed that the five locations that the company has in the Centennial State would be closing.
What Is Hallcon?
Hallcon is a transportation company that focuses on, " ...turnkey solutions for clients such as technology companies, manufacturers, railroads, universities, corporate business parks, hospitals and healthcare, airports, public transportation agencies, and more."
These Colorado Cities Will Be Impacted
Due to this closure, workers at their Denver, Pueblo, Trinidad, La Junta, and Grand Junction will all be out of work.
When Will the Hallcon Colorado Layoffs Take Effect?
104 Hallcon employees will be placed on indefinite layoffs which will go into effect on June 25th, 2025.
