Here Are Your 2026 Greeley Stampede Grand Marshalls

This makes me so excited! Not only because I love my friends at the Greeley Stampede, but I also absolutely love the two people named as the 2026 Greeley Stampede Grand Marshals. If you live in Greeley, then odds are you know the former mayor of Greeley, John Gates, and his lovely wife, Patty. Come the morning of the 4th of July, you'll see the Gates waving to the great folk of Greeley at the Independence Day parade.

Here's a little info about John Gates

• John Gates was previously a former Greeley mayor and city councilman.
• John also worked as director of school safety and security at Greeley-Evans School District 6.
• And finally, John served more than 25 years with the Greeley Police Department.

Now let's talk about my girl Patty Gates

• Patty Gates built a 35‑year career in banking.
• Patty also served in roles with the American Red Cross, United Way, UCHealth boards, Greeley Area Chamber of Commerce, and Women 2 Women.

That's a lot of giving back to the Weld County community!

John and Patty Gates will lead the Greeley Stampede's parade on Saturday, July 4. The 104th annual Greeley Stampede starts on Wednesday, June 24, and runs through Sunday, July 5.

• Saturday, June 27 you can see the Brothers Osborne with Dylan Scott
• Sunday, June 28 come out and see Jake Owen with Dasha

• Friday, July 3 you can see Dierks Bentley with Cole Goodwin
