Yelp released its annual list of the best sandwiches in each state.

They selected European Market & Bistro as the best in Colorado. Here is what they said about the sandwich shop that calls Lakewood home.

Two Bulgarian buds run this laid-back market and meat counter of paninis and wraps. Fans say the Prosciutto Basil sandwich—also loaded with fresh mozzarella, drizzled in truffle glaze, and served on homemade bread—is reminiscent of sandwiches in Rome.

That sounds delicious. I have not tried European Market & Bistro in Lakewood yet, but I am more than willing to make the trip.

About the Lakewood Restaurant

The reviews are glowing. While most sandwich shops are known exclusively for their signature sandwich, European Market & Bistro sounds like a well-rounded restaurant with positive reviews for their gyros, kabobs, and more.

The sandwich although quite simple was perfectly warmed and the flavor profile was so much more than basil and prosciutto. The roll was equally exceptional. I wanted another one straight away! I'll be back. -Chris H.

The restaurant also has a market so you can take a taste of their restaurant home with you. However, we can guarantee your sandwich won't be as good as theirs.
