Does AI Help or Hurt Parents in Colorado?
It is no secret that AI is taking over the world. It is evolving much faster than many anticipated and is even beginning to take jobs away from employees. There are many different ways to use AI, and while some like to complain about it and don't trust it, it does have benefits and makes life a little easier. Everyone uses AI differently, but is there a way for parents to use it to help them raise their kids a little more easily? How are parents in Colorado using AI, and how do they feel about it continuing to advance?
Parenting and AI in Colorado

AI is intended to make life easier. Many use it to write for them, some to answer tough questions, and some to help them at work each day. Why can't parents use it to help them raise their kids? A recent survey on luriechildrens.org revealed that 81% of parents have used AI tools to help with parenting. This isn't only a one-time thing, either, as 43% use it weekly, and 15% admit to using it daily. Why are they using it? Two out of three parents who choose to say it has helped with their mental load as a parent. Shockingly, 90% say that AI makes parenting easier, 91% say AI makes them feel more confident as a parent, and AI even helps lessen the load as it saves, on average, 58 minutes of parenting per day.

For reasons why they choose to use AI, 23% of parents say it helps them make better decisions, 19% say it saves time, 13% like that it is available 24/7, and 12% say it helps them make faster choices. While parents are using AI to help raise their kids, 3 out of 4 admit that they are concerned about their children using it and the rise of AI. While 34% admit to letting their children use AI tools and chatbots, 74% say they would be open to it if there were more parental controls. The average age of children using AI currently is 10.

Should parents use AI, or should they do things the way our parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents did? It can be a nice tool, but should it be relied upon every day for parenting? For more on parents using AI, as well as children, make sure to click the link in the second paragraph above.
