Is It Summertime Yet? Weekend Temps Near 80 in Fort Collins

It's springtime in Fort Collins, and you know what that means...snowy weather one week, and summertime weather the next. Colorado can never really decide when it's ready to flip the switch into summer, but we're thinking this weekend will be that first major step towards suntans, bro tanks, and driving with the windows down.

According to the National Weather Service, the weather in Fort Collins this weekend will reach near 80 degrees. By Thursday, weather will already be in the sixties. Friday will have a high near 73, with Friday night hitting 40. Then Saturday will promise stunning hikes: the high will be 75 for Fort Collins, and by Sunday, the high will reach 78 degrees. Wow: time to hop in the lake!

While the National Weather Service definitely is more reliable than most, things are always subject to change when it comes to Colorado: that being said, post-beautiful weather, it looks like we're coming up on a week of gloom and doom, with rain in our forecast.

The moral of the story: take advantage of the sunny weather while you can! Hit Horsetooth, go on a socially distant hike, each lunch outside at City Park, or take your dogs for a few extra walks. They deserve it.
