The leaves they are a-changing.

It was pretty remarkable the difference that two days made in the color of the aspens on our recent trip to Breck. They turn from green to yellow every year, but one never knows just when that is going to happen. It's really dependent upon cooler night temperatures, so seeing them is really just a matter of paying attention.

Still, we went up to Summit County on a Sunday, and came back on a Tuesday, and the aspens all around Loveland Pass, Silver Plume, Empire and Georgetown turned from green to yellow in that small amount of time.

The very high country in Summit was already on its way to yellow, because of the altitude, so we were able to really enjoy some of the colors.

Leaf peeping time is here!
