High winds are affecting traffic yet again as Colorado State Patrol has issued a closure alert Monday morning (Jan 6).

According to the tweet, Colorado State Patrol of Larimer County warned that from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, all northbound vehicles will be required to exit at Owl Canyon Road near Wellington due to "excessive winds".

Those traveling to Wyoming are asked to use Highway 287.
