The Santa Cops of Larimer County organization goes back over 30 years; a coalition of volunteers and law enforcement agencies making sure children get Christmas.  This time around, they need our help.

Santa Cops' mission is to build strong relationships between the children in the Fort Collins area and the local law enforcement agencies.

Agencies included:

  • Fort Collins Police Services
  • Loveland Police Department
  • Larimer County Sheriff's Office
  • Colorado State Patrol
  • Colorado State University Police
  • Timnath Police Department
  • Larimer Country District Attorney's Office

While it's true that the major focus of Santa Cops of Larimer County is to get gifts to as many disadvantaged children as they can at Christmastime, they work throughout the entire year helping kids; so hearing that they are in need of our hep, I felt that I should help get the word out.

The headquarters that they used to have at the Outlets at Loveland was large - 5,383 square feet. Now that they have officially been forced to leave the Outlets, due to upcoming changes, this puts Santa Cops of Larimer County in a predicament: Where do they go?

They need a big space for collecting the thousands of toys that get donated throughout the year, wrapping gifts, hosting events and overall general operations of the 501(c)(3) non-profit. According to CBS4 Denver, they've been having to pay $600/month for a storage unit (which is not nearly enough room,) which hurts the chances of  buying any new toys for the upcoming holiday season.

There must be someone who know someone, who knows somebody else that has a space available that's large enough to accommodate Santa Cops. Again they need about 6,000 square feet of space, preferably donated. The only stipulation is that it needs to be in Larimer County, which is pretty big: We can do this.

5 Places in Loveland Arnold Schwarzenegger Needs to Check Out on a Holiday Visit

Obviously, it's not easy for Arnold and Heather to just go wherever they'd like, if they come to Loveland for the holidays, but I'd be remiss if I didn't try to steer them in the right direction if they should leave the house.
