Hard to believe the Harlem Globetrotters have been around for almost 100 years. Not with the same players of course because that would be REALLY impressive but with many different players and lineups and tricks, the Globetrotters are just that, known around the globe for not just their basketball prowess but the way they simply entertain and can bring smiles to people's faces of all ages whether you're a big basketball fan or not.

Fun fact about the Harlem Globetrotters that I never even knew until now is that Wilt Chamberlan was originally a Globetrotter. Back in 1958 he was selected and was a member of the first-ever Harlem Globetrotter team to play in Moscow in 1959.

He later went to the NBA and well, the rest is history and he's still the only NBA player to ever score 100 points in a game.

Not every Globetrotter is that legendary but from Curly Neal to Meadowlark Lemon and Lynette Woodward who became the first female to ever be men's professional basketball team.

Young and old, men and women, boys and girls the Harlem Globetrotters are sure to please and we're excited to have them back at the Budweiser Events Center on Sunday March 12 at 2pm.

My son and I went last year and it was all sorts of awesome and we hope to make it again this year.

Tickets are on sale now at the Events Center box office or at budweisereventscenter.com
