The Greeley SWAT team arrested a felon on Tuesday (May 26) morning.

The incident occurred around 6 a.m., when officers saw Hipolito Muniz, a wanted felon, run inside a house in the 1200 block of 19th Street.

According to a Facebook post from the Greeley Police Department, authorities then barricaded Muniz inside the home.

He came out after chemical munitions were released inside, and officers took him into custody.

Muniz is now in the Weld County Jail, where he is facing charges of First Degree Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft F4, Chop Shop Activity F5, and Criminal Mischief F6.

He is currently the suspect in multiple other active cases, and officers expect that Muniz will see more felony charges in the future.
