Bottomless Pit, a nickname given to my stomach by both my mother and my fiance. I love trying new food and new restaurants and that's what this series is all about. Yesterday I visited Okole Maluna in Downtown Windsor for an early lunch. I loved the decor, soft and welcoming. The staff was also super nice and attentive (my diet coke never got below the half way point).

The menu includes some great offerings that you would expect to find at a Hawaiian restaurant. A great mix of offerings with proteins ranging from fish to chicken to beef. I tried the Chicken Katsu Curry. I'm a big fan of both Chicken Katsu and Curry. I love a good spicy curry, so I was looking forward to devouring this dish. The dish also came with a side of sticky rice, and if you give me some protein and rice I am a happy happy camper.

The dish itself was very good.  I enjoyed the crunch of the breading on the chicken and the rice was cooked perfectly. The only thing I would say is that I would love to have some more kick in the curry. The flavor was certainly there however.

If you're in downtown Windsor I recommend this place for a great lunch or dinner. Just make a note that they are closed on Sundays and Mondays.
