The Wonderfully Fun ‘Ghostbusters’ is Coming to The Lincoln Center With An Orchestra

One of the most fun movies of the 80s is "Ghostbusters", and Fort Collins is one of only two Colorado cities that will be showing it on the big screen once again, with a live orchestra this fall.

As someone who grew up in the 80s, I am a huge fan of "Ghostbusters", but it's a film that captures the imagination of those young and old. On Sunday, October 4, 2026, The Lincoln Center will be showing it up on the big screen with a special live orchestra. This is going to be a very fun way to enjoy the blockbuster all over again.

It Makes Sense That This 'Ghostbusters' Event Would Stop in Fort Collins

With Fort Collins being home to the unique Totally 80's Pizza, this is an event has "The Choice City" written all over it. Fort Collins and Parker are the only cities in the state hosting the event this fall. Why not make a big day out of it: Get your "Blockbusters" costume, hit up Totally 80's for some food and fun, then pop over to the The Lincoln Center.

Prior to the show, outside The Lincoln Center, you're going to find the Ghostbusters of Colorado United team on hand with their Ecto-mobiles and other props for photo ops. The Lincoln Center will be giving away prizes with their photo booth, as well.

Of all the great roles that Bill Murray has portrayed, him as Peter Venkman ranks among his best. The smarm, the wit, the "we kicked its ass!" help to make the movie so iconic. It really is such a clever movie that Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis put together, with action, comedy, and a giant Marshmallow Man.
