I try to grow food each year.

It's always the same staple of 3 crops that I love the most--tomatoes, zucchini, and cucumbers, and then a rotating cast of greens, peas and beans. Some years yield better than others. For example, last year's hail broke my plants and my heart. We replanted after the June 24 storm, and got a few cucumbers. Not much else.

This year, I added some square footage to my small plot, and put in the veggies a few days before the May 15 date I usually try to hit.

Weather conditions have made me nervous that it would freeze again in Fort Collins, but it hasn't happened yet.

Also, I have a hail protection system that you can see at the end of the video. It's just a tarp, sitting there, on the ready by my tomato plants.
