The Cheyenne Historic Preservation Board is in the process of restoring the 85-year-old water fountain to its previous glory and getting water flowing from it again.

The water fountain at the Cheyenne Airport was built to memorialize early aviation; it was built in 1934. Currently, the Cheyenne Historic Preservation Board is in the process of restoring the fountain with the Airport Fountain Restoration Project. When completed, the fountain will be working and the terracotta restored.

To help fund phase 2 of the project, they're holding their first Water and Wings Gala on Friday, May 17, 2019, at the historic Plains Hotel in Cheyenne. The event will include dinner, a silent auction, live entertainment, and guest speakers.

Tickets for the gala are $60 for individuals, $100 for a couple (which also included tickets to the next day's Investing in Preservation Summit, also at the Plains Hotel)

Tickets for the gala and the summit are available HERE.
