Fine Suits and Vintage Motorcycles, Benefit Ride Comes to Fort Collins
When most people see a classic car driving by, they stare, they take in the rarity and nostalgia of it. The same goes for motorcycles. The same goes for someone who is dressed to impress. It's hard to look away from something that appeals to the senses as these things do.
This Sunday, May 21st the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride will take place worldwide. Seven cities in Colorado are participating including Fort Collins. This is a themed ride. Riders are encouraged to dress in their most "dapper" attire and ride classic and vintage type motorcycles, the kind you don't see everyday.
The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride is a fundraiser to support the men in our lives and fight prostate cancer, by supporting the work of Movember. Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men affecting over 10 million men across the globe.
My husband Anthony is very excited to participate in this event. Each rider raises money for the cause.
All genders are encouraged to dress the part, find the bike and participate. Of course you are more than welcome to donate to the cause and not ride.
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride "was founded in Sydney, Australia, by Mark Hawwa. It was inspired by a photo of TV Show Mad Men’s Don Draper astride a classic bike and wearing his finest suit. Mark decided a themed ride would be a great way of connecting niche motorcycle enthusiasts and communities while raising funds to support the men in our lives."
