Food and music are so similar.  They each fuel the soul of a person, albeit in different ways. While food can be limited to just calories that keep the body alive, the reality is that it’s so much more. And music, well, I can’t go a day without it, much like I’d rather not go a day without eating.

Both pleasures stir feelings from within, igniting the brain with powerful activity. The bass line of a song thumps strong, urging my body to move with the groove. The first bite of a flavorful dish triggers my taste buds, causing my mouth to water. Food and music are so similar in the way they create moments of pleasure, it would make sense to enjoy them together.

That’s one of the main attributes to the Colorado Feed & Grain Cookhouse.

The Colorado Feed & Grain Cookhouse is an unusual building on the fringe of Fort Collins on East Mulberry, just off of I 25. They reopened after moving to this location from Timnath in October of 2010. The circular (?) building hosts a stage for live music and dancing, pool tables, and a large bar. With an eclectic mix of Country, American Folk, Rock, and Blue Grass to entertain the masses, they serve a menu that is just as maltifarious.
