As if Match.com, Plentyoffish.com, Christianmingle.com, and Farmersonly.com weren't enough, Facebook has officially dipped its toe into the dating pool.

Beginning today you can now use Facebook as a dating app.

According to CNN.com, the company's new matchmaking service will be available for those who want to use it. It will not appear on your normal feed and your dating profile will be different than your normal Facebook profile.

This new aspect of Facebook does not come out of the blue. Its actually been in the works for more than a year.

If you opt in you'll be able to link you Instagram account as well to share photos and choose "secret crushes" — basically a way to find out if the person you are crushing on is crushing on you as well before throwing it all out there and getting rejected.

It will still however have your typical dating profile pictures and ice breaker questions to find potential matches. Happy dating.
