Attached to four 100-foot spruce trees and resting higher than 25-feet above the ground on two acres of scenic land, is one of Colorado's most rustic rentals – the Rocky Mountain Treehouse, which anyone can now stay at, courtesy of Airbnb.

This unique property was hand-built in Carbondale in 1971, and offers current visitors a peaceful and cozy retreat at $170-$195 a night. The Rocky Mountain Treehouse features a winding rock staircase that leads to the front door, a private balcony with gorgeous views of the creek and mountains, four beds, a bathroom with a shower made from stone, and an outdoor hot tub. There's also a picnic and campfire area on-site, with plenty of firewood provided by the owners, and for an extra $20 fee, pets are even allowed to come along on the trip. With no internet or cell service available at this cabin in the sky, guests get the opportunity to completely unplug and feel "off the grid" during their stay, although Glenwood Springs and several other towns are just a short drive away.
