Earth Day Fort Collins Event Rescheduled: Virtual Event in April
Join me, J.B. from Retro 102.5 Mornings, on September 19 for the 10th Annual Earth Day Fort Collins at Civic Center Park, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
It's no secret that all things 'eco' are kind of my jam: I'm a vegan, a minimalist and I shop almost exclusively at thrift stores and small businesses. So, it almost goes without saying that I have taught more yoga classes on Earth Day than I can count. My name is J.B. and I'm a proud tree hugger.
Luckily, it seems I'm in the right place because Fort Collins is as eco-friendly as it comes. We even have our own Earth Day celebration, and there's never been a better time to take an interest in the Earth and all the ways we can protect it by using what we already have and avoiding habits that are environmentally irresponsible. Even in light of the current pandemic, we can still celebrate all the earth has to give us online (and yes, the irony's not lost on me).
Earth Day is Wednesday, April 22nd, which will be celebrated virtually amid COVID-19, while a physical event will be held in September.
What to expect at the physical event:
- Earth Day activities
- A 20-year celebration of the Sustainable Living Associations efforts in our community
- Family-friendly activities
- Featured speakers
- Exhibitors
- Music
- Food
What to expect at the virtual event:
- 5 days of Earth celebration
- Videos, posts, products, services and tips on how to reduce our environmental impact
If you're feeling the cabin fever and love our planet, join the Sustainable Living Associations' 11,000 fans and followers who will engage with this event.
