Dry Dock Brewing to Close Original Taproom

One of Colorado's most popular breweries has been around since 2005 in Aurora. While the craft brewery industry has had its highs and lows, these guys have succeeded; not only in pleasing customers but by winning awards. Though they're not going out of business, not having a beer at that original taproom is going to be sad.

I've been to Dry Dock Brewing in Aurora at Hampden and Chambers more than a few times, with friends and family. My cousin is a big fan and knows the team there very well; she's taking the closure pretty hard. The venue holds special memories for our family, as her father's Celebration of Life was held at that taproom after his passing.

One of Colorado's popular beers is Dry Dock's Apricot Blonde; you can find it may stores, restaurants and bars across the region. You may not know that Dry Dock is now a part of Left Hand Brewing, as they merged in April, according to the Denver Post. This helps out Dry Dock a lot, as it gets them into a lot more states and countries leading to more success. Plus, Dry Dock only had a license to manufacture beer before; now, with Left Hand, they have a brewpub license.

According to the Denver Post, Dry Dock will be opening the new brewpub somewhere south of Downtown Denver, in the spring of 2026. That will make it easier for folks in Northern Colorado to get to; though, if you haven't been to the Aurora location, you have until January 2026 to visit one of the best taprooms Colorado has had.
