This week, a four-day convention begins with an auction for a “dream trophy hunt” with Donald Trump Jr. and his son.

The auctioned hunt with Trump Jr. includes trips to Zimbabwe to kill buffalo, wildebeest and giraffe. The trophy hunt tour includes a Namibia trip to hunt elephant and a 10-day crocodile hunting expedition in South Africa, according to CNN and The Guardian.

The auction website describes Trump Jr. as the "number one ambassador for our way of life."

The Obama-era put restrictions on importing trophies of elephants and lions.

According to USA Today, Trump called trophy hunting a “horror show” in 2017. In 2018, the Trump administration loosened trophy hunting laws, permitting Americans to bring back elephant and lion carcasses from Zimbabwe and Zambia.

Musical acts The Beach Boys and REO Speedwagon were scheduled to perform at the event. REO Speedwagon has canceled their performance while Beach Boys members Brian Wilson and Al Jardine are boycotting the event.
