Denver Is the 6th Best City For Sports, Even Though It Traded Von Miller
A recent report named Denver, Colorado the sixth best sports city in the U.S. in 2021, even though the Mile High just traded Von Miller to the Los Angeles Rams and like, basically everyone is upset.
According to WalletHub, it's the 'die-hard fans' that make a city great sports city, not necessarily the teams (which checks out because in case you missed it, a Broncos fan has already shown up at Von Miller's practice with the Rams).
To establish its findings, WalletHub 'compared 392 cities across more than 50 key metrics related to the five largest sports in the U.S.,' which are football, basketball, baseball, hockey and soccer. While Denver ranked sixth in the nation, Fort Collins ranked 260.
Overall, Denver is a great city for Avalanche fans, as it ranked highest for hockey fans at number six. The Mile High is 11th in football, 20th in both basketball and baseball and 23rd in soccer. You can see the full report from WalletHub here.
