When you turn on the television to get caught up on Colorado and Denver sports, you'll be finding someone who's loved the teams all of her life.

I know how great it feels to have a dream, and have it come true. I always wanted to be a radio DJ, and did find my way into the job. A woman who grew up in Loveland pursued her broadcasting dream:  Being a TV sports reporter in Denver.

Not only has that dream come true, but she's also happily married to her high school sweetheart, Chase, with a daughter named Goldie.

Bradey King is Denver 7's newest member of their sports team, having joined in May of 2024. Bradey grew up in Loveland, graduating from Loveland High School in 2013.

While in high school, Bradey exceled at playing softball; that skillset earned her a full scholarship to the prestigious Regis University where she was the team's captain and shortstop player.

From Regis, Bradey continued her broadcast education by earning a Masters Degree in Sports Journalism at Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Bradey's first sports broadcast job began in early 2020, during the pandemic, at a TV station in Lubbock, Texas. From Lubbock, Bradey moved back to Colorado joining the KOAA team in Colorado Springs.

Before long, it was time for Bradey to land that dream job: Sports Reporter at a Denver station. That Denver station, Denver 7.

We reached out to Bradey to congratulate her and to ask a few questions:

Which sportscaster(s)/sports reporter(s) did you look up to when getting started?

Sam Ponder and Erin Andrews stand out! They’re both smart, confident reporters who aren’t afraid to show their personality. They also helped pave the way for women in sports to do it all (work, have a family, start a business, etc.)

Do you see yourself at major network gig, someday? CBS, ESPN, Fox, etc?

Possibly! With that being said, working in Denver was always the dream so I am beyond happy to be here and trying to soak up every opportunity I can.

Favorite overall athlete?

Young Bradey would have said Becky Hammon, Jennie Finch and Carmelo Anthony for sure! I’ve added Nikola Jokic, Peyton Manning and Derek Jeter to that list.

Projections for the Broncos upcoming 2024 season: More than 5 wins or no?

I’d love to cross “cover a Super Bowl” off my bucket list, so I’m staying optimistic! I think the Broncos will be .500 or better this season.
