Defending Her Husband – A Royal Wedding Rescue [PHOTOS]

There she is, my amazing and beautiful wife. How could a man be so lucky? She came to my rescue in more ways than one, and she still does it to this day. Just look at how she defends my honor on my Facebook page. Check out the first batch of comments and you'll see how she swoops in to save me.

It did make me feel so much better, because it isn't easy trying to be a Renaissance Man like Ben Franklin and Leonardo da Vinci. But that is what I want to be. A man who can write poetry and fight, who can cook for his wife and climb and ski mountains. A businessman and a perpetual student. I want to be a person who is in fearless of and in touch with all aspects that make me, ME.

I'm a wedding DJ, the radio station that I work for skews female, and we both really love 4 Weddings on TLC. Plus, waking (or attempting to wake) at 2am to watch a special TV event is just an out of the ordinary thing, and I enjoy out of the ordinary things.

So, you can see on my Facebook post about watching the Royal Wedding, my man card was questioned by one Charley Barnes. I didn't reply for a few reasons.

1. With my friends, if someone didn't call me out somehow or another...Well, THAT would have been the shock. (Also see Tori Holt's comment. Hilarious, and all because of the sentence structure. That's good writing.)
2. I'm pretty sure my man card was revoked directly after issue for one of the following reasons: Eating couscous with tofu (even though I'm not vegetarian and I simply enjoy couscous and tofu), wearing salmon colored pants, being proud of NOT having a Harley (I'm proud of the steal of a deal I got on my Suzuki Volusia pictured here), admitting that specific men are good looking (see Derek Jeter, Curtis Stone), and other infarctions and infractions that just don't sit right with my compadres over at K99.

The funny thing is despite my metrosexuality, I think these guys, who are uncomfortable with my food and my affirmations that  a man is good looking, still like me. Either that, or my ignorance is creating bliss. If that's the case, please just allow me to go on dreaming. It's better  that way.
