
7 Colorado State University Sports Figures Inducted Into Inaugural ‘Ring of Honor’
Colorado State University's Athletics Department made the great decision, in early August of 2025, to launch of 'Ring of Honor,' starting with seven figures that have helped make CSU, Fort Collins, and the entire state proud.

It must have been very difficult for Colorado State Athletics to pick the seven people that would go into the inaugural 'Ring of Honor' for the university. After all, thousands have been a part of CSU Athletics since its inception; these seven, however, rise to the top when it comes to being standouts.

It was in 1988 that CSU Athletics began its Hall of Fame program, then in 2024 they introduced their Walk of Champions, recognizing over 500 former student-athletes. The Ring of Honor is another way to celebrate those who have helped create the legacy of Colorado State Athletics.

Many people have helped pave the path to create our traditions and lore at Colorado State Athletics, but a select few have elevated our programs, our department and our university in such a manner which make them legends..
Our goal is to bring distinguished recognition to their names, their achievements, and have their stories echoed for generations to come.
What Are the Stipulations for CSU Athletics' 'Ring of Honor?'
From CSU:
The Ring of Honor will consist of those who are at least 10 years past their graduation year, have forged a decade-plus in American professional leagues, participated in the Olympics in their predominant sport, reached All-American status as a collegian or were named their conference player of the year. Others may be honored through special circumstances deemed worthy of the honor by the athletic director.
