The Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison is one of the best venues around.  It's beautiful, the acoustics are amazing, and just about any show you see there is bound to be an awesome experience; that is, unless you try to climb those beautiful rocks and fall to your death.

Apparently, after a bluegrass concert on Friday, a concert-goer tried to climb those towering red rocks.  Authorities estimate he fell as far as 100 feet to his death.

The West Metro Fire Protection District says a second man also fell while trying to reach his friend after the fall and was seriously injured. Neither man has been identified.

Stories like this are frustrating to me.  It doesn't take a genius to realize that rules are in place for a reason, and breaking those rules can be dangerous.

If you're lucky enough to be at a Red Rocks show, here's a tip: just enjoy the show! Maybe you'll avoid turning a happy occasion into a tragedy like this one.
