Colorado’s Lost One of Its 5 Hooters Locations
Colorado's Hooters locations were already in the single digits at the beginning of March, 2025; by St. Patrick's Day, the number of Hooters in Colorado is almost zero.
Colorado Springs Hooters Location Closes
It was in late February of 2025 that we were talking about the possibility of one of Colorado's five Hooters closing, and then by the middle of March one did.
According to the Denver Gazette, the one in Colorado springs closed its doors at the end of the day on March 16, 2025
The Hooters in Fort Collins, which was located near Drake and College, was a hot spot for more than a decade.

Hooters has been around since 1983 after starting out in Clearwater, Florida. For decades, they were very, very popular; not just for the skimpy outfits that the waitresses wear, but for the good food. Forty years later, the "thrill" is about gone, especially in Colorado.

Hooters closed about 40 locations in 2024, alone, and was preparing for bankruptcy at the end of February of 2025. We were informed by Restaurants of America that those bankruptcy talks were not related to any of the Colorado Hooters:
Restaurants of America owns and operates 13 Hooters Restaurant locations in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Minnesota. In reaction to the recent news concerning the possible bankruptcy by franchisor Hooters of America, LLC (“HOA”), has no impact and are separate entities from the Restaurants of America (“ROA”) locations. Restaurants of America is successfully operating our locations.
So, it's really hard to say what the reason is for the Colorado Springs Hooters to close, but they did take it in stride.
With the Colorado Springs closure, only four Hooters remain:
- Aurora.
- Lone Tree.
- Loveland.
- Westminster
