If you find yourself feeling lonely these days, no pun intended... but you are not alone. Ba-dum-dum.

Fox31 in Denver reports that the State of Colorado ranks number two on a list of states ranked by loneliness, according a study from Magyar Online Casino. Why exactly an online casino is conducting such studies is not known.

That said, they apparently rolled up scores for each state based on dating app usage. They used keywordtool.io to collect data for how many people are searching for the various apps, based on searches per 100,000 people in each state.

Colorado ranks number two of 50. Are we really that lonely around here? Maybe? Not sure.

They queried how many people are searching for four different dating apps: Tinder, Bumble, Hinge and Badoo. Pretty sure that fourth one is made up, but for the sake of argument, we'll let it slide.

They then calculated the results into a 100-point possible system and determined that Colorado scores 78.24, second only to the state of Florida, where people are apparently much lonelier than here, scoring 83.93.

The top five loneliest states in America, according to Fox31, apparently are:

RankStateTinderBumbleHingeBadooTotal score/100
1.Florida1,1006001,20012083.93
2.Colorado1,0006001,10012078.24

4.Arizona89040082020069.12
5.Michigan50166067522067.75

So if you're single and complaining that there's not enough single people out there, the data does not back that up.

If you're not single and would prefer to be, now may be a good time because there's plenty more fish in the sea. Just remember, one person's catch and keep is another person's catch and release.
