Colorado Eagles Season To Return in February Without Fans
The Colorado Eagles have announced their return to the ice. But spectators won't be allowed inside Loveland's Budwesier Events Center for the start of the AHL season on Feb. 5, according to a press release from the team.
The Colorado Avalanche affiliate will be part of the Pacific Division with Bakersfield Condors, Henderson Silver Knights, Ontario Reign, San Diego Gulls, San Jose Barracuda, Stockton Heat and Tucson Roadrunners.
The full schedule and playoff format is still yet to be announced.
The minor league for the NHL canceled its season last March because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
When the season ended, the Colorado Eagles were in second place of the Pacific Division, just three points behind the Tucson Roadrunners.
