As Colorado celebrates its 150th birthday in 2026, there will be a special film festival featuring movies that have Colorado connections. Fort Collins and Greeley are two of 18 cities that will be showing selected movies, which will most likely tie-in to the two cities.

Who's Putting on This Special 'Colorado' Film Festival?

According to The Denver Post, the festival is being produced by the same team that produces the Summer Scream movie festival at Lakeside Amusement Park. They'll be using independent movie theaters across the state for their Colorado150 film festival, including The Kress and The Lyric.

How Many Movies Will be a Par of the Coloardo150 Film Festival?

CO150 will have 25 films selected to show at the given, specific, theaters. The Denver Post reports, for example, that they will be showing "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" in Alamosa, as Alamosa was where they shot the opening scene of that movie.

Exact dates of the Northern Colorado screenings will be announced closer to June.
