City of Fort Collins Traffic Operations is Having Q & A Session. Will There be Enough Parking?
Seems pretty gutsy. Holding a forum on the City of Fort Collins traffic. They say it will fill up fast. I’ll bet; I can see a lot of folks who’d like to speak their mind in person.
Speaking one-on-one with a Traffic Engineer for the City of Fort Collins. Holy jackpot, Batman. City of Fort Collins’ Traffic Engineers are indeed having a little ‘party’ where they’ll give presentation and tour and we get to ask them questions!
It’s happening Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at their Operations Center, at Linden and Vine, from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm. So, really, you’d have to get off work early to endure the traffic to get over the traffic headquarters on time. You gotta want it. Seems a lot of folks will: The Traffic Engineers are asking you to sign up for the event, since they only have a limited amount of space for the event.
I wonder what the presentation will be about? Maybe it’s about how they’re going to fix the (still) crazy congestion on Harmony Road. Maybe, it’ll be the unveiling of a new east-west artery for the city! Probably not. It could be some good news about the trains! Speaking of trains, I mean busses, maybe it’ll be about how the MAX bus really IS helping, though it doesn’t feel like it.
They WILL be talking about what they are doing to mitigate the congestion, so that’s good. Whatever the presentation may be about, afterward you can tour the center. Probably lots of cameras and lights. I imagine a scene from The Taking of Pelham 123, though I’m sure it’s nothing like that.
The Q&A part will be interesting. I’d love to be there to witness the questions. They’ll have a write up about it on their site, and probably in the paper, but those won’t carry the intensity of actually being at the meeting and hearing the frustration of the citizens of Fort Collins.
You know what they say: ‘Keep an open dialog.’ Get out there! Get some answers. We need to know how Fort Collins’ traffic will be getting EASIER! Plus, it's near New Belgium - you could go get a beer afterwards!
