Cirque du Soleil’s OVO to Bring Colorful Insects to Loveland
An artistic performance you can't look away from, that is how I would describe every Cirque du Soleil show I've seen. The color, the intense, melodic movements by incredibly talented performers and an easy-to-grasp storyline bring the shows together.
Your chance to see a Cirque performance is coming to our backyard. Cirque du Soleil's OVO is coming to Loveland. OVO will be at the Budweiser Events Center from August 26th through 28th. Tickets go on sale on June 6th.
The life of insects is explored through the show. OVO means egg in Portugese. Over 100 performers from 25 different countries bring the high-acrobatic production to life.
From mighty crickets bouncing off trampolines to a hypnotic spider contorting inside her web, OVO exudes extraordinary showmanship to tickle the imagination. Funny and chaotic, yet adorable and wonderful, OVO charms our inner child with its sweet exuberance.
The Cirque du Soleil concept dates back to 1984 with a couple of Canadian street performers reinventing the circus concept, mainly leaving out animals. Cirque shows are popular all over the world. As with most live performances the pandemic presented some serious hardships. Cirque du Soleil employs over 4000 people. They are back and headed our way.
