Broccoli Recall Hits Colorado Stores, Listeria Fears
Fear of Listeria caused the FDA to have several Colorado stores to recall fresh broccoli products. Stir fry mixes, salads, veggie bowls, some frozen foods and more that contain broccoli products, packaged by Mann Packing of California, are being recalled because of a potential risk of the serious and sometimes fatal infection, Listeria. These products were sold at many stores including Safeway, Trader Joe's and Walmart.
According to the FDA "recalled products were distributed throughout the United States and Canada with “best if used by” dates from October 11 to October 20 listed on the front of the packaging. For a complete list of these products and what brand names they are under, check out the FDA website.
