BREAKING – RTD Security Officer Shot, Killed in Denver

An RTD police officer is dead after being shot overnight near Union Station.

Denver7 has all the details - they say police responded to the scene at 16th and Wynkoop at around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night for reports of a shooting. The unidentified victim was a transit security officer with Allied Universal, which is contracted by RTD to provide security services.

Denver Police took one suspect Joshua Cummings, 37, into custody overnight and also recovered a firearm.
