Boulder’s Snowplow Fleet Have Some New, Creative Names
Snow will soon start flying in the state of Colorado and the plows will be out in full force to keep the streets clear for commuters. The City of Boulder has recently completed its first-ever snowplow naming contest.
20 names in total were chosen out of more than 200 entries submitted by K-5 students from Boulder. The winning names submitted by students will have the opportunity to take a photo with the snowplow they named.
Magnets will be created for each of the 10 snowplows with the names and will be able to be tracked throughout the route in Boulder on a real-time map that will launch this winter.
The winning names for 10 Boulder's snowplows:
- Snowie
- Happy Tracks
- Ice Blade
- Plowzer
- Mighty One
- Darth Blader
- Snow Gobbler
- Super Scooper
- Frosting
- Plower Power
