Bomb Threat at Columbine High School Puts 20 Schools on Lockout
1999 wasn't that long ago in many peoples' memories. So when Columbine High School and the word 'threat' are in the same sentence, people respond.
It happened at 9:20 a.m. on Thursday morning (December 13, 2018.) A person, claiming to be hiding with a gun near the school called into Columbine High School stating that there were bombs inside the school - site of the 1999 massacre where 13 students and one teacher were killed.
That call put not only Columbine on lockout but more than 20 other schools in the area on lockout as well.
After authorities from several law enforcement agencies searched the school and the area and found no actual threat, the lockout was lifted for all BUT Columbine at 12:45 p.m. Columbine was to remain on lockout through the end of the day.
