Beto O’Rourke Visiting Colorado on Thursday, Friday

Beto O’Rourke is in Colorado this week and will speak at the Aurora Municipal Center Thursday (Sept. 19) at 5 p.m., according to 4CBS Denver

He is here to “listen to community members impacted by the epidemic of gun violence," said a member of his team. The Aurora community was devastated in 2012 with a movie theater shooting.

Recently, O’Rourke made his stance on gun control very clear stating, “Hell yes, we're going to take your AR-15, your AK-47, we’re not going to allow it to be used on fellow Americans anymore.”

Tonight’s town hall meeting is open to the public but you must register in advance.

O’Rourke will also be attending the Global Youth Climate Strike in Denver which takes place on Friday.
