Bear Shot After Breaking into Colorado Restaurant
It's no secret how dangerous wild bears can be. This is why an employee took steps to shoot a bear that broke into a Colorado restaurant. According to 9 news, the young 70-pound bear broke into an Aspen Mountain restaurant on Saturday (July 16, 2016), and was shot after attempts to scare the wild animal off were unsuccessful.
After the employee of the Sundeck restaurant shot the bear with a shotgun and a pistol, Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials euthanized the young bear. An investigation is open, looking into the shooting. Apparently, the bear had made several trips to the restaurant, and at one time even charged at one of the chefs.
