Backside of CSU Rams Statue Pointed at CU in Boulder [VIDEO]
I've heard the stories for years, so I did a little research. The rumor was that a statue of a Ram on the CSU campus had it's butt pointed directly at Boulder.
Here is what I found:
The CSU Ram statue in front of Moby Arena on the Colorado State University Campus in Fort Collins was installed with the backside pointing directly at the University of Colorado in Boulder. If you drew a straight line from the Ram's behind to the CU campus, it would basically hit Folsom Field.
So the theory appears to be true!
Here is where the Ram statue is located on the CSU campus, with the statue circled in red:
This YouTube video features my conclusion on the whole affair:
Was this just a happy accident or did someone do it on purpose? I couldn't find anyone to confirm the "Butt to Boulder" conspiracy theory. I personally think things like this don't happen by accident.
I also discovered that there used to be a Ram statue by the Morgan Library that pointed to the southwest, but that particular piece was moved to College & Prospect in front of the new health center and re-positioned. So, that statue no longer supports my theory.
