Fifty years ago, in 1967 Ed Carroll VW in Fort Collins opened its doors on what was, at the time, barren land on South College Avenue. As Fort Collins grew, so did Ed Carroll Motor Company, adding Audi in 1974 and Porsche in 1979 to their roster. At one time they even sold Mitsubishis.

Over a year I ago I moved to Northern Colorado from Chicago. In the Midwest you pull up to the intersection, stop, wait your turn, smile and safely proceed. Easy…huh? It’s not that way out here… Sprinkled throughout this region are roundabouts. Honestly, I’ve never heard of, nor experienced, them.
