Alicia Keys Announces Set the World on Fire Tour With Miguel
People's Choice Awards performer Alicia Keys is taking her live show to arenas across the U.S. and Canada starting in March. Her Set the World on Fire Tour includes 24 dates spaced out over six weeks, with a stellar opening act in R&B star Miguel.
The tour begins on March 7 in Seattle and runs through April 18 in Chicago, hitting up the Staples Center and Madison Square Garden along the way. The trek will support Keys' 'Girl on Fire' album, which entered the charts at No. 1 in November. The title track continues to climb the singles charts.
During her People's Choice Awards performance, Keys moved out from behind the piano and strutted her stuff front and center with a bevy of backup dancers. She looks comfortable and excited to be back on stage.
Nabbing Miguel as the opener will probably help Keys sell more tickets, since the soul singer's 'Adorn' was one of the hottest soul tracks of 2012 and earned a Song of the Year Grammy nomination.
"I can feel the energy of this upcoming year building and I couldn't be more excited to go on tour with the new album and I'm thrilled to have the insanely talented Miguel join me," Keys said in a press release.
